Qualified Radiopharmacist at the Radiopharmacy Laboratory

The Pharmacy Service of the CHUV is seeking a qualified radiopharmacist within the radiopharmacy laboratory, at a workload between 80% and 100%, for an indefinite duration.

The starting date is scheduled for 1 November 2026 or to be agreed upon.

Context

The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.

The Pharmacy Service's missions are:

• the manufacture and supply of pharmaceutical products
• the promotion of the rational use of medicines
• teaching and research in hospital pharmacy

The radiopharmacy unit plays an essential role within the hospital by ensuring the preparation, quality control, and provision of radiopharmaceutical medicines intended for diagnosis and treatment, in compliance with quality, safety, and radiation protection standards.

Mission

• You supervise the preparation and control activities of diagnostic or therapeutic doses of conventional radiopharmaceutical medicines authorised by Swissmedic (syntheses of radiopharmaceuticals labelled with 68Ga and 177Lu)
• You develop and validate analytical methods
• You ensure the maintenance of the quality assurance system
• You participate in the management of nuclear medicine clinical studies
• You oversee the initial and ongoing training of operators working in the laboratory
• You work interdisciplinarily with the pharmacy and nuclear medicine staff.

Profile

• You hold a federal pharmacist diploma with the title of specialist in hospital pharmacy (or equivalent) with a complementary qualification in radiopharmacy validated or in the process of validation (DESC in radiopharmacy or EANM certificate)
• You master radiation protection rules
• You have experience in the synthesis of radiopharmaceuticals labelled with 68Ga and 177Lu, including participation in drafting IMPD type dossiers and Swissmedic Quality dossiers
• You master good pharmaceutical manufacturing practices
• You possess knowledge of Swiss or European legislation and legal requirements for the preparation of radiopharmaceutical products
• You are organised, rigorous, autonomous, and responsible
• You have the professional and interpersonal skills essential for this position, while demonstrating team spirit.
