Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defence of the interests of the child.
Serving the families of the canton, it works through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfil its mission, the institution manages 47 structures across the Canton of Geneva, has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also offers educational outreach services at home. The FOJ is made up of 670 employees.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for a supervisor for our Beaux-Champs Residence , which accommodates young adults aged 18 to 25 years.
Job Description
- Ensure peace and security from 6:00 pm to midnight, housing more than fifty young adults (apprentices, non-university students and young people in low-income employment)
- Be available to residents for academic support
- Provide support and advice to residents on administrative or daily life matters
- Guide residents to "youth" living and cultural spaces in Geneva
- Professionally address the relational needs of residents
Activity rate: hourly contract with on average one supervision per week, from 6:00 pm to midnight
Hourly rate: CHF 24.48 + 10.64% holiday pay
Start date: as soon as possible

Qualifications
Be a university or higher education student
Motivated and interested in supporting young adults in training
Ability to build rapport
Kind and supportive attitude
Excellent listening and observation skills
Knowledge of Geneva "youth" networks
Punctual and organised
