Your new role
You will strengthen our well-coordinated gardener team in the open air and in the tropical house of the Botanical Garden St.Gallen. Together with the other team members, you will keep the facilities in impeccable condition. Your area of work is primarily in the open-air departments and 20% in the tropical house. Your tasks include, in addition to typical care and maintenance work, for example, the introduction and overwintering of non-hardy plants or seed collection for international seed exchange.
This position is for you if
- You have a recognised gardener qualification (EFZ) and professional gardening experience.
- You appreciate the plant diversity of a botanical garden.
- You possess manual skills and independence and are proficient in handling machines and equipment.
- Reliability, teamwork, and independence are among your strengths.
- You are willing to work weekend and on-call shifts on a rota basis.
