Professor of Cello (40-60%)

• You teach students in the artistic Bachelor and Master programmes specialising in cello as well as in chamber music. 
• You conduct class lessons and recital evenings, are present at aptitude assessments and final examinations, and take responsibility for the development of young musicians.
• You engage in university committees, especially in subject group meetings and conferences, and advocate for the further development of study programmes.
• You bring your diverse concert and professional experience into the professional training of students at the University of Music Basel FHNW. 
• You develop existing formats and study programmes together with the subject group and the management team. 
• You contribute to the establishment and further development of collaborations within the MAB campus as well as with regional and international institutions.

• You are an internationally recognised and well-networked artistic personality. 
• You have completed a university degree in music and possess extensive concert and teaching experience at university level. 
• You are characterised by excellent didactic skills and a strong pedagogical commitment. 
• You are familiar with the professional requirements for students and know the current developments in concert and musical life, especially in the orchestra, chamber music and solo fields. 
• Dealing with historically informed performance practice, contemporary music and chamber music is a natural part of your artistic and pedagogical work. 
• You have international networking and diverse professional experience. 
• You identify with the goals and values of the University of Music Basel FHNW and contribute to an inclusive and enriching university culture. 
• You have a university didactic qualification or are willing to acquire one during the first years (standard for professors).
