The position is attached to the Department of Clinical Neurosciences . This department provides care to patients of all ages, children and adults, suffering from neurosurgical, neurological, ophthalmological and otorhinolaryngological pathologies. Care is adapted to the needs and difficulties of the patient, from the most acute sectors (intermediate care units) to rehabilitation sectors (neurorehabilitation).

The department's objective is to guide patients towards regaining their autonomy through education, support and outpatient follow-up. It ensures the operation of patients as well as their support, to promote an early return home. In the same spirit, outpatient care is also prioritised and surgical activity optimised, to facilitate access to care within a reasonable timeframe.

The Neurology Service manages, diagnostically and therapeutically, patients suffering from neurological conditions, often in collaboration with other Services such as neuroradiology, neurosurgery , neurorehabilitation and internal medicine specialty Services.

Job Description

You are responsible for welcoming and caring for patients undergoing neurophysiological examinations.

You work across two sectors, both inpatient and outpatient, as well as at patients’ bedsides on different sites.

You perform various examinations: EEG, polysomnography, evoked potentials (motor, sensory, visual and auditory) prescribed by the medical team, for hospitalised and/or outpatient patients whose ages may range from newborn to elderly.

You support patients and their families throughout the course of epilepsy, preparing them for possible surgery based on therapeutic education.

You work closely with the medical team.

You provide specific autonomous care and perform delegated medical acts.

You manage emergency situations.

Qualifications

You hold specialised training in electrophysiology, Bachelor in Medical Radiology Technology or equivalent qualifications.

You have at least two years’ professional experience in a similar role.

You possess knowledge of and interest in technology, IT, and the evolving methods of neurophysiological investigations.

You have a good command of English (minimum B2 level).

Occasional and ongoing theoretical training will be offered.

You can work within a multidisciplinary team while independently managing fluctuating demands.

You are a person with good interpersonal skills, rigour, flexibility, versatility and openness to change.

You participate in continuing education offered by the medical team and/or specialty congresses, with the opportunity to specialise in one or another investigative technique.
