Tasks:
- checks the contract documents of projects mainly related to cycle paths and slow mobility works regarding the executive aspects in collaboration with the design offices of Sottoceneri
- as Site Manager, verifies for the assigned construction sites that the execution of the works is carried out properly in accordance with the project, respecting the contract documents, the tender conditions, and any specific directives issued by the Head of Office. Upon request, also handles general management tasks of the works
- leads periodic site meetings and prepares the related minutes
- verifies compliance with quality requirements, ensuring that the prescribed tests and controls are carried out, and monitors the economic and scheduling progress of the works, constantly updating the cost forecast
- checks that safety measures, signage, and personal protective equipment are respected
- performs, in agreement with the contractor, surveys and measurements and generally everything necessary for the accounting of the works. Checks daily reports, site diaries, measurement reports, and invoices issued by the contractor. Receives and verifies additional offers and discusses them with the Head of Office
- maintains contacts with federal, cantonal, municipal offices, public entities, and private citizens regarding the construction sites under their responsibility
- collaborates with cantonal offices, particularly on issues related to cycle paths and slow mobility works.
- promptly submits any technical, economic, and scheduling problems to the Head of Office
- supports the Head of Office in office management and in the technical and economic verification of claims and final settlements
Requirements:
- bachelor's degree in civil engineering with several years of experience in civil engineering site management
- experience in managing major road construction works, structures, and/or civil engineering works in general
- good conventional computer skills (Windows) and specific ones (MS Office including MS Project, CAD)
- good oral and written command of Italian and knowledge of a second official language (French or German)
- leadership, mediation skills, and the ability to identify solutions with a pragmatic approach
- initiative and ability to work independently and in a team
- flexibility, willingness to work at high, irregular, and out-of-hours rhythms
- good knowledge of cantonal institutions and the territory where the activity is carried out;

Employment conditions:
