About the job

Early in the morning, all the kids gathered at our office in Dietikon and were welcomed with name tags and drinks.

To start, the kids learned about the exciting world of the Eglin Group and our four apprenticeships: electrical installer, assembly electrician, automation technician, and automation fitter.

Afterwards, they were allowed to go behind the scenes at e8 AG switchgear construction and see how a "fuse box" is made.

A few snacks and chocolate drinks later, the kids got to work with our trainees during the station run: pulling cables, wiring circuits, cutting channels,

mounting pipes, and nailing cables were on the agenda.

In the afternoon, our managing director Philipp Lütold introduced himself and talked about his exciting career path, which began with an apprenticeship as an electrical installer.

The important topic of "work safety" was also covered that day. First, the kids were trained on "PPE" and then allowed to climb a scaffold and a

ladder. After all the experiences gained, everyone made their own extension cable.

At the very end, everyone showed in the quiz what new things they had learned that day.

Not to forget the great giveaways that everyone was allowed to take home: from the cool Eglin water bottle, to the culinary "e8 chocolate", to the

e8 keyring, the Eglin folding rule, and pen, there was something for everyone!
