You will care for outpatient emergencies in shifts in the fields of orthopedics, general and visceral surgery, urology, and ENT, and learn under the supervision of senior physicians to perform minor emergency procedures such as nasal tamponades, wound care, drainage insertions (puncture/thoracic drains), and repositioning. Shock room management as well as co-care of the orthopedic, surgical, and urological inpatient wards during emergency events, e.g., at night, under the supervision of the respective senior physicians, are also part of the duties. Deployments also take place seasonally at the emergency center location in Zweisimmen. If interested, a rotation to the orthopedic inpatient ward is also possible, including assistance in the consultation and operating room.
Start date immediate or by arrangement.
How to become part of our team
- Completed medical studies (Switzerland or EU with MEBEKO recognition)
- Professional and social skills for good interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration
- Confident use of the German language (spoken and written), at least C1

- Possibility to rotate to an explicitly orthopedic ward
- Possibility of recognition of 1 year of clinical emergency medicine for SGNOR further training
- Recognized training center Orthopedics/Traumatology, Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System, Category B1 (2 years orthopedics and 3 years traumatology)
