Reception Assistant for the Endocrinology Clinic
The Endocrinology, Diabetology and Metabolism Service is seeking a reception assistant for its clinic, at a 60% workload (Monday, Tuesday and Friday), to complete its team. The starting date is scheduled for 1 July 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
Attached to the CHUV Department of Medicine, the Endocrinology, Diabetology and Metabolism Service specialises in endocrinology, diabetes and lipids. Our approach is multidisciplinary and patient-centred, based on cutting-edge clinical practice and the latest advances in medical research.
Mission
- You ensure the reception and orientation of patients and their relatives, both at the desk and by telephone
- You schedule appointments
- You manage the administrative handling of patient files
- You ensure communication between the various desk staff
- You manage the administrative and medical secretariat in relation to the clinic's activities (requests for examinations in another specialty/external service, prescription requests)
- You check the billing of consultations
- You perform various administrative tasks related to the functioning of the clinic.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee (or an equivalent qualification)
- You have experience in reception (ideally in a hospital environment) and are proficient in French and common IT tools
- You have strong interpersonal skills and provide a warm and professional welcome
- You are quick and efficient, able to manage several tasks simultaneously, even under pressure
- You enjoy working in a team and have a naturally positive and dynamic attitude
- You are flexible, highly organised and able to manage priorities and take necessary initiatives.
