About the role
We are looking for a motivated Business Controls Specialist who is eager to learn and enjoys taking responsibility.
What you'll do
Perform daily and periodic monitoring controls as part of the First Line of Defense, including review and investigation of alerts
Liaise with Sales and other stakeholders to clarify alerts or transactions
Implement appropriate remediation actions for individual cases in line with established procedures, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
Support the implementation and testing of new or enhanced controls, including preparation of control procedures, execution of pilot testing, and documentation of control steps
Maintain accurate records of control execution and remediation actions, supporting tracking, reporting, and evidence requirements
Focus on case-level control execution, supporting the Head in trend analysis and framework improvements
Escalate issues that indicate recurring patterns or higher risks to the Head of Business Controls
Provide support to the Head of Business Controls in preparing materials and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders such as Risk and Compliance, and act as a back-up where required
What you'll need
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or similar
3–5 years of professional experience in financial services industry; preferably in Compliance, process management or operational risk management or internal audit
Basic knowledge of the structured products market
Familiarity with risk management frameworks and operational control concepts
Fluent in English and German
NICE TO HAVE
Strong analytical and investigative problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively liaise with business stakeholders to resolve issues and improve risk management practices
Project management, organizational, and reporting skills
Willingness to develop expertise in Governance, Risk and Control (GRC) systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive approach to identifying issues and supporting process improvements
Experience preparing or delivering presentations to senior stakeholders
