In Belp, we offer a home with integrated work for four people with autism in a small external community. They live in a house with a garden in studios and small apartments.
Due to an expansion, we offer
by arrangement a position at 60% as a Social Educator/Support Specialist.
You accompany four residents from young to middle age with very pronounced autism spectrum and some psychological impairments. All residents require intensive support in daily life and assistance with sometimes very demanding coping strategies. These can include severe impulse breakthroughs.
Usually in individually accompanied sequences, you use the tasks at hand to provide them with platforms for activity, participation, and trust-building. You accompany them through the
activities of daily life such as personal care, dressing, and meals, through tasks like
cooking, washing, shopping, environmental and workshop tasks, and through movement offers. In
coaching conversations, you support them in reflecting on their fears and worries. All activities are intertwined both spatially and temporally and individually structured.
The team shares the team leadership responsibility as a self-managing team.
We offer:
An exciting and diverse workplace with many opportunities for participation
Stimulating accompaniment moments and retreat options for breaks, so you can recharge your energy even in stressful moments
Great, humorous, and dedicated team colleagues
Careful onboarding
Coordinated times for intensive individual support of the residents
Internal training with a focus on ASS
Free parking spaces
Compensation and social benefits according to cantonal guidelines
Collaboration in a committed, qualified, and mindful team
Monthly team retreats with internal expert advice
Whole (undivided) day shifts without night shifts
We expect:
Training as a social educator or support specialist or equivalent qualification
Joy in open and constructive collaboration
Willingness for specific pedagogical engagement
Knowledge in kitchen, household, and environmental work
Willingness for irregular working hours including evening and weekend shifts
Driving license, category B desired
