Section Head Deep Geological Repository for Radioactive Waste
The geological deep repository for Switzerland's radioactive waste is to be established in the Canton of Zurich. The interests and concerns of the canton in connection with this responsible task are represented by the Building Department. Coordination of the tasks takes place at the Office for Waste, Water, Energy and Air (AWEL).
Your tasks
You will take on the cantonal project management for the deep repository, lead a team of three employees,
maintain close contact with political decision-makers, experts from other cantons and various stakeholders, and contribute – partly in a leading role – to various working groups.

Your profile
For this, as well as for the creation of concepts and the review of technical reports, you will apply your scientific or engineering basic education and professional experience in complex projects as well as in leading a team. Your interest in technical, legal and socio-economic issues in the environmental and energy sector, as well as your skill in dealing with experts and laypeople, can be competently applied at the interface between technology and society.
