The EMS "Les Jardins du Léman" with a capacity of 51 beds aims to offer its residents the best possible quality of life, in a medical environment adapted to their specificities.
Our support approach is based on building a relationship of trust with the residents, their relatives, and the medical staff, as well as taking into account their life journeys, desires, and needs. This respect for the person is reflected through medical care provided by our qualified nursing staff.
Job description:
In your new role, your tasks will impact the quality of care for the residents. Your role will notably consist of:
- Developing the autonomous nursing role and nursing reflection: organizing, planning, and implementing the care of residents within the geriatric or psycho-geriatric service of the EMS
- Ensuring leadership of the care team (composed of nursing assistants, ASA, nursing aides, and ASSC)
- Developing personalized care for residents
- Collaborating within an interdisciplinary team
- Transmitting and recording observations in a targeted and relevant manner in the residents' computerized file
- Supervising nursing students and ASSC apprentices
Required profile:
We are confident in your rapid success in your future role thanks to your:
- Strong interest in caring for elderly and/or dependent persons and/or those with cognitive disorders
- Assertiveness in the role
- Patience, empathy, active listening, high verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Good physical and psychological resilience
Experience in EMS or acute care would be an asset
Education level:
Bachelor of Science HES-SO in Nursing required (or equivalent title recognized by the Swiss Red Cross).
A CAS "Palliative Care and Elderly Person" or specialization in this field would be an asset.
