About the job
The Social Department includes the assessment service, the social service for children and adolescents, the social service for adults, the central services, the social audit office, the health promotion office, and the work integration office.
To support the head of our Health Promotion Office, we are looking for a specialist as soon as possible or by arrangement, limited until June 30, 2026 (with the option of extension).
Your tasks:
- City contact point for all measures of addiction prevention / harm reduction
- Processing inquiries and current topics
- City representation in regional and cantonal committees
- Leading the harm reduction working group
- Further development of the needs-based support services in Thun
- Strengthening inter-institutional case coordination in the addiction field in Thun
- Leading, coordinating, and implementing projects such as the prevention booth at the Thun Festival
- Collaboration with various partner organizations and service providers outside the administration
- City contact point for the topic of inclusion
- Processing inquiries and current topics in cooperation with the Barrier-Free Network in Thun
- Participation in the organization and implementation of events of the office
You bring with you:
- Degree in social work (university of applied sciences or university) or similar education
- Several years of professional experience or additional training in prevention, addiction work, or project management
- Further training or experience in addiction and inclusion issues, comprehensive knowledge of social insurance and social welfare law desired
- Enjoyment in contact with external institutions and organizations
- Flexibility, resilience, assertiveness, and conflict management skills
