As part of a succession arrangement, we are looking for a committed individual as Chair of the Executive Board 80 - 100 % from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement.
In this responsible role, you will chair an executive board that has been working as an equal leadership team since 1 January 2025. You will play a key role in an established foundation, promote the consolidation of the new leadership model and the targeted further development of the organisation.
Your impact with us
- You promote constructive and binding collaboration within the executive board team and actively develop the leadership model in everyday practice.
- You coordinate cross-departmental topics, create orientation and ensure that decision-making and implementation processes are clearly structured and communicated.
- You coordinate with the executive board the implementation of strategic directives and provide clear decision-making and information bases for the foundation board.
- You represent the BWO foundation towards authorities, partner organisations and other stakeholders and strengthen internal and external communication.
Your profile
- A tertiary-level qualification, preferably in social work, social management, business administration or a comparable field.
- Several years of leadership or management experience in a social institution, a non-profit organisation, or in the education, health or public sector.
- Experience in strategy, organisational and development processes as well as enthusiasm for shaping and further developing structures, roles and procedures together with others.
- A good understanding of business management contexts, financing, service contracts and the management of organisations in the social sector.
- Strong communication, moderation and coordination skills as well as confidence in dealing with committees, authorities and various stakeholders.
- A personality who leads at eye level, connects perspectives and creates clarity and commitment even during transitional phases.
- High identification with the mission of the BWO foundation and a person-centred, participation-oriented attitude towards people with disabilities.
What to expect
- A meaningful leadership role in an established foundation with a broad range of services in the areas of school, housing, work and vocational training.
- The opportunity to further develop and sustainably anchor a still young leadership model together with a committed executive board team.
- A key role with great scope for design, where coordination, dialogue skills and strategic thinking are as important as implementation strength.
- A demanding and personally enriching environment with committed employees and diverse stakeholders.
- Modern employment conditions, attractive social benefits, trust-based working hours with optional additional compensation, as well as support for targeted further training and good work-life balance.
