Your team
Pictet Wealth Management combines more than 200 years of Swiss banking heritage with global investment expertise. The partner-owned financial services group provides a comprehensive offering for wealthy individuals and families, including discretionary and advisory investment solutions and family office services.
We are seeking a diligent and insightful Buy-Side Analyst to join our Research team. You will conduct in-depth fundamental research on companies across developed markets, with a particular focus on consumer sectors, develop comprehensive financial models, and deliver high-conviction investment recommendations to internal stakeholders, especially portfolio managers and advisors.
Your role
• Fundamental research: Perform deep-dive research into companies, industries, and macroeconomic trends to identify mispriced securities.
• Financial modeling: Build and maintain complex, dynamic financial models to forecast future earnings and returns.
• Investment recommendations: Author investment memos and deliver actionable recommendations to Pictet Wealth Management.
• Due diligence: Conduct management interviews, attend industry conferences, and interact with sell-side analysts to gather proprietary insights.
• AI-augmented research: Design and apply AI-driven tools and workflows to accelerate idea generation, enhance pattern detection, and increase the agility and scalability of fundamental research.
Your profile
• University degree: Master’s degree or a postgraduate qualification such as a CFA.
• At least 6 years of equity research experience on the buy side or sell side, ideally with multi-sector coverage; prior exposure to an Anglo-Saxon firm is a strong plus.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English (native or equivalent), and fluent or better command of written and spoken French.
• Strong fundamental equity research capabilities with excellent quantitative and qualitative skills, and a first-principles-based approach to analysis and communication.
• Outstanding written communication skills through investment memos and research notes, and excellent presentation skills to convey complex ideas clearly and convincingly.
• Complete proficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft tools.
• Confident and effective user of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and similar applications, to enhance research productivity, insight generation and workflow efficiency.
• Independent-minded, intuitive, self-starter personality with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Strong focus on delivering high-quality, actionable outputs and meeting results-based expectations in a demanding investment environment.
• Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
