About the job
Social Worker (m/f/d) 80-100 %

On behalf of the canton, we welcome newcomers in our Matran shelter, help them find their own housing, grant personal and material assistance according to social welfare standards, and support them in steps towards professional and social integration. Additionally, we manage a community interpreting service active in several French-speaking cantons as well as a listening and counseling service against racism for the residents of the canton of Fribourg.
The Social Welfare Service – composed of about twenty social workers managed by 2 team leaders and led by a service manager – has the mission to provide social assistance to refugees who are not financially independent. The teams follow them individually, establish monthly budgets, and provide material and personal aid in accordance with cantonal law and the principle of subsidiarity.
