For the Construction Library, we are looking for a Specialist Librarian: Construction Library (m/f/d) starting January 1, 2026, or by arrangement, initially limited to 3 years.
Job description
The Construction Library is a world-leading information provider for architecture, urban planning, spatial planning, and civil engineering. Here you work amidst research and teaching and in close cooperation with two exciting construction departments.
We offer not only books but also digital materials, inspiring learning spaces, courses, and consulting. With us, you can rethink the library with projects on AI, knowledge management, and new technologies.
- You manage the civil engineering subject area: selecting media, developing the collection, subject indexing of content
- You build networks to keep the library visible within the ETH community
- You are part of the consulting team at the information desk
- You participate in projects that further develop and digitize our services
- You design information literacy offerings – and bring new ideas in the field of AI
Profile
- Master's degree in civil engineering, environment, geomatics, architecture, or a related field
- Initial experience with libraries, archives, museums, or similar institutions
- Enthusiasm for digital media, new technologies, and AI
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
