We are looking for an assistant physician to join our outpatient psychiatry team of the Arc Network in Switzerland. In this full-time role, you will work alongside psychiatrists and other health professionals to provide high-quality psychiatric care to our patients in an outpatient setting.
The sites of the Mental Health Pole of the ARC Network are recognised ISFM training establishments in category A for hospital and outpatient care.
Job Description
Your work consists of assessing and caring for patients in an outpatient setting at one of our consultation sites (Moutier, Biel, Saint-Imier, Bévilard).
The tasks are as follows:
- Conduct psychiatric assessments of patients
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the psychiatric team.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans if necessary
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Participate in the continuity of care system of the psychiatric hospital service
- Intervene in crisis situations and provide emergency psychiatric care, if necessary
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records
- Contribute to the development and implementation of outpatient psychiatric protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Possession of a medical degree or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Federal Commission of Medical Professions (MEBEKO) is mandatory.
- At least 1 year of experience in psychiatry and psychotherapy is required, 2 years of experience is ideal.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team is essential.
- A strong commitment to medical training and knowledge dissemination is required.
- Proficiency in French at a minimum B2 level is necessary.
