GRP Ingenieure AG arranges the company succession
As part of an orderly and long-planned company succession arrangement, the two owners Michele Guglielmo and Aleksander Ribic have sold all shares of GRP Ingenieure AG, Risch retroactively as of 1.1.2022 to SCHERLER AG, Lucerne. GRP Ingenieure AG will continue unchanged as a subsidiary.
Stephan Frey, Chairman of the Board of SCHERLER AG, is pleased: "With GRP Ingenieure AG, which is successfully active as a sanitary, sprinkler and fire protection planner, we perfectly complement our service portfolio. Only two years ago, we were able to acquire Collenberg Energietechnik AG, which is well established as an HVAC engineering office. Together with SCHERLER AG, we now cover the entire HVACSE engineering from a single source and in-house. SCHERLER AG has been the leading company in electrical planning (buildings and infrastructure) for decades – the group pursues the same strategic goal sustainably in the entire building technology planning."
The previous owners, Michele Guglielmo and Aleksander Ribic, will remain active in GRP for at least three and five years respectively as members of the management and the board of directors (in a 100% capacity). The two sellers unanimously state: "The SCHERLER group represents the optimal buyer for us, we see many positive synergies and the company culture fits. We are very much looking forward to the coming years." Stephan Frey was elected as the new Chairman of the Board. Furthermore, no changes are planned, all employees will continue to be employed and the company location in Rotkreuz will be maintained or expanded. Frey adds: "I am very much looking forward to our new colleagues – together we are now over 200 highly competent, motivated employees generating a fee turnover of around CHF 30 million."
About SCHERLER AG
SCHERLER AG keeps up with the times. For almost 100 years, the corporate group has embraced the dynamic challenges of the market. The rapid technical change in construction processes is seen as an opportunity. Courage for further development, innovative strength and an agile organisation sustainably promote business success. Passionate talents and great commitment have shaped the business culture since the founding era.
In 1966, a pure engineering office was founded as a branch in Lucerne. This event is considered the official founding of today’s SCHERLER Group with headquarters in Lucerne. Over the years, further offices have been added in Lugano, Baar, Stans, Chur, Basel, Winterthur and Baden. In addition, the group comprises seven subsidiaries, a joint venture and a participation. Over 200 employees, including about 20 apprentices, generate an annual fee turnover of approximately 30 million Swiss francs.
As a nationally operating family business in the 4th generation (70% family-owned, 30% owned by management/partners), we offer all services of electrical and building technology engineering. We are also successfully active in the areas of fire protection, data centre engineering, building automation (MSRL), ICT technology, traffic planning and engineering, wastewater, water supply and BIM (Building Information Modelling).
