Your tasks
The Institut Jazz is one of three institutes at the Basel Academy of Music. Students are trained in three programs of study at bachelor's and master's level.
- You will regularly teach piano as a main subject as well as thematic ensemble lessons in our bachelor's and master's programs
- You will supervise and mentor students at all stages of their studies and give both individual and group lessons
- You will contribute your interdisciplinary skills and collaborate with the lecturers at the institute on the further development of teaching
Your profile
- You are an internationally recognized and well-connected artistic personality with excellent didactic skills and experience in university teaching
- Within Jazz, you are familiar with its traditions, trends and latest developments, and you display an open mindset towards other music styles and art forms
- You have a style-forming profile within the subject area, inspire students for instrumental craftsmanship as well as for artistic-innovative work, and guide them competently
- You hold relevant degrees and pedagogical qualifications
- You have a qualification in higher education didactics, or are willing to acquire one within the first years, and you regard the implementation of the mandate of the University of Applied Sciences as an exciting field of activity
