Eben-Hézer Lausanne is part of the Eben-Hézer Foundation, a private law organisation, non-profit and recognised as being of public interest.
To complete the team of supervisors at the Personal Development Workshops, for the Lotus workshop, which welcomes residents with disabilities, we are looking for a qualified Social Educator or MSP (M/F) at a 60% activity rate.
Mission
As an MSP, you ensure support in a personal development workshop welcoming adult individuals. The workshop offers activities adapted to the individual needs and resources of the resident. The content of the activities focuses on relational, bodily, sensory aspects as well as the physical and mental well-being of the person. This content is put into practice through a wide range of activities centred on relaxation and well-being. Comfortable with group activities as well as individual support, you collaborate with the entire beneficiary network to ensure coherent support that meets the residents’ needs.
Responsibilities
Ensure optimal reception of residents within the workshop, taking their needs into account
Proactively participate in team life
Propose individual and collective support and ensure the writing of reports and assessments
Attend interdisciplinary meetings
Develop your skills by regularly participating in training
Integrate your activity into the institutional functioning
Desired profile
You hold a diploma in the socio-educational field complemented by experience in workshops with both young and ageing people
You have a good understanding of the issues related to people with disabilities
You have skills in supporting sensory and relaxing activities and your creativity allows you to adapt your tools to the needs of the residents welcomed
You are comfortable supporting people presenting challenging behaviours
You are comfortable working in a team and can also provide individual support
You have a good knowledge of the PPH and its applications
Training in basal stimulation and/or palliative care: an asset

Conditions according to the collective labour agreement in the Vaud parapublic social sector.
Permanent contract.
Regular daytime hours, during the week.
