About the job
The open and lively parish of Littau in Lucerne counts about 5000 Catholics. We accompany people through a diverse range of offerings.
The religious education in the parish of Littau takes place outside of school in the parish rooms. Teaching days are Wednesday and some Saturdays.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a catechist (20%) Primary & First Communion Preparation starting August 1, 2026
Your areas of responsibility:
• Extracurricular religious education at the primary level
• Preparation for the sacrament of First Communion
• Work with parents
• Design and conduct of church services
• Collaboration in the catechesis team
You bring with you:
• Training as a catechist or an RPI diploma
• Joy in bringing faith closer to children and maintaining contact with parents
• Committed openness and discretion in dealing with people
• Flexibility, willingness to work, and ability to work in a team
