Job Description
We are recruiting a Reliability Technician to manage the reliability activity of a production sector by analysing malfunctions and production losses, defining and implementing the equipment maintenance strategy, and ensuring the monitoring of our technical databases (CMMS, SAP).
You will be required to work cross-functionally across the entire Monthey site, in close collaboration with the Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Projects teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyse malfunctions and occasional production losses (field analysis, fault trees, process conditions)
- Propose and study corrective and improvement actions in consultation with the relevant functions
- Carry out equipment criticality analyses and define the appropriate maintenance strategy (preventive, predictive, condition-based)
- Formalise the needs for stocking critical parts for the sector
- Analyse reliability data and maintenance costs across the sector to propose improvement actions
- Propose improvements to methodologies and tools within the reliability processes and contribute to their deployment on site
- Participate in the development and improvement of standards with the methods team
- Support maintenance, engineering, and production teams in applying standards and investigating failures
- Actively participate in training maintenance and production personnel
Qualifications
Required
- Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as Chemical and Pharmaceutical Production Technologist, Polymechanic CFC, or equivalent in a technical field
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or reliability is an asset; Federal Maintenance Agent Certificate appreciated
- Expertise in chemical engineering equipment: reactors, filters, dryers, pumps (centrifugal, volumetric, vacuum)
- Mastery of reliability analysis methods (cause trees, FMEA) and maintenance strategies
- Experience with maintenance management tools (CMMS, SAP) and ability to analyse process data
- Knowledge of continuous improvement approaches and optimisation of industrial performance
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Fluent French (spoken and written); B2 level English desired
- Good command of IT tools (MS Office, CMMS)
