The Office for Informatics (AFI) is the IT competence centre of the Canton of Zurich. It provides comprehensive services in the area of central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for directorates, authorities, the judiciary, and independent institutions. The AFI accompanies the Canton of Zurich on its path to the digital future.

The cantonal data platform is a central prerequisite for the digital future of the Canton of Zurich. As a team leader and service owner, you will shape a high-performance team and significantly influence the development, operation, and further advancement of this strategically important platform, helping to shape its future from the outset. Together with your team, you will develop and operate the central data platform services and create the foundation for innovative data solutions throughout the entire cantonal administration.

What to expect:

• Responsibility for the development, further advancement, and operation of our data platform services.
• Ensuring a stable, secure, and customer-oriented service operation including service level management.
• Planning, controlling, and implementing projects as well as changes and releases.
• Coordinating collaboration with specialist departments, architecture, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Building, leading, and further developing a specialised team and promoting an open and solution-oriented collaboration.
• Managing budget, costs, and service quality as well as continuously optimising our services.
• Contributing to the digital transformation of the Canton of Zurich through the expansion of modern data platform services.

What you bring:

• Master’s degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in leadership as well as in building and further developing teams
• Solid professional experience in IT service and application management of complex platforms or business services
• Good understanding of data platforms, cloud architectures, and modern IT operating models
• Decisiveness and the ability to create structures and successfully reconcile different interests
• Strong communication and networking skills with experience in managing external service providers and stakeholders
