The Department of Actuarial Science of the Faculty of Business and Economics is looking for a Graduate Assistant
Job information
Expected start date in position: October 1, 2026 (or at a later mutually agreed date)
Contract length: 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years
Activity rate: 80%
Workplace: Lausanne Dorigny, Extranef building
Supervisor: Prof. Séverine Arnold
Your responsibilities
- 50% of your time will be dedicated to completion of doctoral studies in actuarial science
- 50% of the assistant's time will be dedicated to teaching, administrative (including exam supervision) technical and research support for the department
Your qualifications
• Master of Science (MSc) in Acturial Science, (Actuarial) Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline
• Desire to deepen the knowledge in actuarial science with the aim to obtain a doctoral degree
• Fluent in English. Basic understanding of French is not necessary but a plus
• Ability to work in a team and good communications skills
