As of March 1, 2026, or by arrangement, we are looking to complement our team with your support as an Assistant Public Prosecutor (100%).
What to expect from us
Your task is to assist under the responsibility of a public prosecutor in prosecuting money laundering offenses and independently handle smaller criminal cases. The position is therefore suitable for a junior professional who, in addition to investigative thinking and a flair for international connections, also has basic knowledge in the financial sector as well as an interest in mutual legal assistance law and civil and debt enforcement law issues. After acquiring the basic knowledge, candidacy for the eligibility certificate for public prosecutors can be undertaken after at least six months. The candidacy includes a one-year training program with an internship of at least six months at a regional public prosecutor's office. Due to the focus on this career goal, an extended aptitude test takes place before starting this training position. The fixed-term employment in the first year will be converted into a permanent position upon commencement of the candidacy. The other employment conditions correspond to the cantonal guidelines.
How to convince us
Requirements for this activity are a completed law degree and relevant professional experience with good qualifications, preferably at law enforcement or judicial authorities or in legal practice. A lawyer's license or similar professional additional qualifications are an advantage.
Flawless knowledge of criminal and criminal procedure law, confident German language skills in speaking and writing, as well as good command of English are fundamental skills in our field. You also have high self-motivation and work efficiently and purposefully, but with the necessary care. Furthermore, we expect integrity, discretion, resilience, a confident appearance, and pronounced teamwork skills.
What we offer you
Working in our team is an investment in your future and a unique experience: from the very first moment, you are in the thick of things, not just on the sidelines, benefiting from the experience and expertise of our public prosecutors. Your workplace is located in the modern Police and Justice Center in Zurich. Classification is in salary grade 18.
