About the job

• Design and implement courses and projects in the fields of Industrial Engineering, digital production processes, and IoT
• Acquire and lead application-oriented research projects with the goal of transferring research findings into practice and teaching
• Apply modern methods of data analysis and digitization of production processes with a focus on ERP, MES, digital twins, and data-based decision support
• Participate in teaching at the bachelor, master, and continuing education levels
• Supervise project, bachelor, and master theses in the relevant subject areas
• Actively contribute to the strategic development of the Industrial Engineering department
• Opportunity to obtain the title of professor upon meeting the corresponding requirements

• University degree (Master or Diploma) in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; a doctorate is an advantage
• Solid practical experience as well as an active network in the Swiss economy
• Experience in acquiring, leading, and conducting research and development projects
• High data affinity as well as in-depth knowledge in the areas of ERP and MES systems, production processes, and smart factory
• Experience in university teaching; a university didactics certificate can be obtained internally if needed
• Very good German skills as well as business fluent English; French skills are an advantage
