Company Description
The Public Establishments for Integration (EPI) have the mission to contribute to the well-being and social and/or professional integration of people with disabilities or facing difficulties in professional and/or social integration.
The socio-educational services welcome and support people with disabilities and/or those facing major social integration difficulties in residences, day centres, or at their own homes.
They contribute to the development of each person’s quality of life, encourage the expression of their potential, their fulfilment, and the development of their autonomy. More than 500 people are supported in very varied contexts.
The Librecour day centre mainly welcomes people with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities with other associated disorders, requiring sustained support.
Job Description
- Integrate the concerned individuals into city life by highlighting their skills and resources, while respecting their rights and duties.
- Develop personalised socio-educational support projects, ensure their follow-up, and mobilise team members in their daily implementation.
- Assume delegated tasks as the referent for one or more concerned individuals and maintain regular contact with their network (legal representatives, relatives, attending physician, etc.).
- Align educational actions with the principles stated in the institutional policy "Integration and Support".
- Maintain positive contacts with the concerned individuals in line with the socio-educational values of the EPI.
- Support individuals in their daily lives and provide support adapted to their needs and resources.
- Design, implement, and evaluate socio-educational activities alone and/or within a multidisciplinary team.
- Facilitate socialisation, cultural, leisure, and/or work activities.
- Know how to respond appropriately to difficult and/or complex situations.
- Ensure direct functional contacts and relationships with all sectors and various external partners.
- Perform administrative tasks inherent to the position.
Qualifications
- A Swiss diploma in Social Work (HES level), in Educational Sciences specialising in Special Education, or deemed equivalent.
- Knowledge of psychological and/or mental disabilities and/or in addiction, as well as a willingness to develop knowledge in these areas.
- Previous experience in a similar position and with this type of population is an asset.
- Demonstrate a service spirit towards vulnerable populations.
- Show a strong sense of responsibility oriented towards user service and open-mindedness.
- Possess well-developed interpersonal skills, ease in communication, and a strong liking for teamwork.
- Have flexible working hours.
- Be proficient in common office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and specific professional tools available within the establishments.
- Master the French language.
