Valorisation Officer for Knowledge Transfer UNIL CHUV
The Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office of CHUV and UNIL is looking for a valorisation officer for Knowledge Transfer UNIL CHUV.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
At the heart of research activities in diverse fields and cutting-edge medicine, the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office’s mission is to support CHUV and UNIL researchers in their research collaborations with industry, to valorise discoveries through the filing of intellectual property rights, and to negotiate and manage licensing contracts with industrial partners.
Mission
- You advise UNIL and CHUV researchers on the valorisation of research results and intellectual property issues
- You evaluate inventions and software and develop a protection and valorisation strategy
- You manage the filing of patent applications in collaboration with external patent agents
- You seek industrial partners, negotiate contracts and ensure their administrative follow-up.
Profile
- You hold a university degree (Master’s) in computer science, biology, medicine or an equivalent field
- You have 3 to 5 years of postgraduate research experience, complemented by activity in the industrial sector
- You have postgraduate training in management (MBA or equivalent); training in intellectual property is an asset
- You ideally hold an RTTP (Registered Technology Transfer Professional) or CLP (Certified Licensing Professional) certification
- You have experience in licensing or technology transfer, in an academic transfer office or a private company, an asset
- You ideally have experience in information technologies applied to the medical field (digital health, medical imaging)
- You are recognised for your ability to work independently and as part of a team, your organisational skills and sense of priorities
- You demonstrate interpersonal skills, diplomacy, discretion and reliability
The salary scale will be between levels 11 and 12 depending on the candidate’s profile.
