These are your tasks
- Lead the strategic purchasing function both professionally and personally, be responsible for employee development, and promote a performance-oriented and professional purchasing organization
- Be responsible for the strategic part of the procurement cycle – from needs analysis through the development and implementation of category strategies to contract design and supplier management
- Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships as well as further develop supplier management and risk management in the supply chain
- Plan, coordinate, and manage complex tenders/submissions according to IVöB/VöB
- Actively shape digitalization in purchasing and manage projects for the introduction of new systems, processes, and tools along the entire procurement process
- Anchor sustainability, compliance, and innovation as integral parts of strategic purchasing
- Ensure a consistent, efficient, and future-oriented procurement organization together with management, demand carriers, logistics, as well as tactical and operational purchasing
What sets you apart
- Completed university degree (FH/University) in business administration or supply chain management or a comparable education with further training in purchasing (e.g., purchasing manager)
- Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, including at least 3 years in a leadership position with proven success in team leadership and development
- Comprehensive knowledge of public procurement law (IVöB or BöB/VöB)
- Solid experience in developing and implementing category and procurement strategies as well as managing the entire procurement cycle
- Experience in project management and leading change processes, especially in the area of digitalization and process optimization in purchasing
- Solid ERP knowledge, especially in SAP MM and Ariba
- Strategic and analytical thinking, strong implementation skills, negotiation skills, and a pronounced sense of responsibility
- High resilience, decisiveness, as well as a proactive and solution-oriented working style
