About the job
Nurse HF 80 - 100%The Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for criminal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.
The newly established Medical Service department ensures the medical-somatic basic care for detainees in all correctional institutions of the Canton of Zurich. As a central organisational unit, it guarantees a harmonised and high-quality healthcare service according to the equivalence principle and works closely with the Psychiatric-Psychological Service and the JuWe institutions.
As part of the Zurich Enforcement Facilities (VEZ), the Centre for Foreign Administrative Detention (ZAA), located in close proximity to Zurich Airport, has 130 detention places. It is responsible for the accommodation of persons without a valid residence status whose foreign law procedure must be secured, taking into account the different personal and individual needs of the detainees.
