Job Description
Following a political and strategic will to strengthen the fight against economic and organised crime, the Financial Brigade of the Vaud Security Police, in collaboration with the Public Prosecutor's Office, is setting up a criminal asset seizure group. This group will be tasked with intensifying the patrimonial confiscation of values fraudulently acquired by conducting its own investigations and supporting other brigades of the Vaud Security Police and the Prosecutors of the Public Prosecutor's Office (MP).
As a specialised judicial police officer (APJS) in the field of accounting and financial audit, you will participate in investigations and operations against economic crime, write reports and take part in hearings, analyse investigation information, support investigators and magistrates, propose and implement solutions for the seizure and confiscation of criminal assets. You will also participate in the training of investigators and magistrates in your area of expertise.

Responsibilities
- Analyse investigation information and present it in a relevant form for judicial purposes.
- Conduct examinations or analyses of accounts, financial flows and determine the amount of damages.
- As a delegated APJS, write and sign reports attached to the judicial file, conduct hearings, participate in police operations and letters rogatory.
- Detect, develop and propose concepts for the development of new investigative methods against economic crime and criminal asset seizure.
- Contribute to close relations and permanent liaison with the School of Criminal Sciences of UNIL, EPFL, HEIG-VD and/or other reference schools/institutions in the economic and/or banking field.
- Contribute to technological monitoring of specific tools.
- Participate, in collaboration with the management of the financial brigade and the MP, in setting up a specialised group for the seizure of criminal assets and actively work within it once established.
- Provide training related to your specialisation to actors in the criminal justice chain.
- Perform on-call duties during the week, weekends and public holidays.
- Equipped with personal safety equipment, except firearms.

Qualifications
- Master's level education in economics, finance or human sciences.
- CAS, DAS, MAS, Federal diploma useful for the role (chartered accountant - auditor - reviewer - fiduciary) desired.
- Degree in economic crime or equivalent qualification desired.
- Experience in the economic and/or financial field.
- Good knowledge of economic, financial or commercial matters.
- Excellent writing skills and good knowledge of computer programmes (Excel, analysis programmes, etc.).
- Sense of responsibility and public service ethics, adaptability and flexibility.
- Spirit of mutual aid and collaboration.
- Analytical and synthesis skills.
- Stress resistance and discretion.
- Driving licence (category B), obliged to make private vehicle available for service.
- Residence radius: maximum 45 minutes from workplace.
- Swiss citizen or in the process of naturalisation.
