The IV Office of the Canton of Bern is undergoing change and is focusing on a modern corporate and leadership culture. We want to align our actions more closely with the needs of our customers and advance digitalization.
What you can achieve with us
- You take independent responsibility for advising and supporting the integration of young people – from registration to the completion of the integration process.
- You carefully analyze the initial situation and involve relevant professionals and institutions in case management, ensuring the flow of information.
- You assign integration-effective measures and use your scope of action purposefully.
- You plan, coordinate, and manage collaboration with external partners such as teachers, employers, institutions, coaches, medical professionals, and authorities.
- You support young people in the transition from school to vocational training – individually and practically, initiate integration measures, assign appropriate support instruments, and coordinate their implementation.
- You are a contact and trusted person for young people, parents, and involved parties – always empathetic and solution-oriented, actively promoting inter-institutional cooperation and influencing successful integration processes.
Which skills are important to us
- You have a tertiary education degree in social work, psychology, or a related field (e.g., HR, coaching, case management).
- You bring at least 3 years of professional experience in integration or counseling or, as a lateral entrant, at least 5 years of leadership experience in related fields.
- You know the education and school system in Switzerland, have a good sense for complex family situations, and bring corresponding sensitivity.
- You are strong in coordination, enjoy networking, think solution-oriented, and appreciate both independent work and team exchange.
- You enjoy working with young people and present yourself empathetically, clearly, and convincingly, able to advise and coach in a solution-oriented manner.
- You efficiently and structurally handle administrative tasks related to case management, appreciating both independent work and team exchange.
- We are a bilingual (German-French) company, so good knowledge of the other language is an advantage.

Annual working time (42 hours/week), possibility to work part-time and remotely, paid breaks
- Vacation
At least 25 days of vacation annually, 28 days from age 45, and 33 days from age 55. Possibility of unpaid leave

Cantonal salary system, gender-neutral and transparent salary policy. Full salary during parental leave, military, civil protection, and civil service
