About the job
On the acute ward for people with dementia, we offer 16 treatment places for people with a manifest dementia diagnosis who are in a temporary psychological crisis and require a protected environment in the acute psychiatric setting. The multiprofessional team treats the patients with close involvement of relatives, referrers and follow-up caregivers. Through medical, psychiatric, nursing, social work and therapeutic measures, an individual treatment plan is created for each patient and a targeted discharge management is pursued.
Tasks
- Comprehensive care and support of geriatric psychiatric patients with a dementia diagnosis in the acute psychiatric setting (mainly during late and night shifts)
- Design and implementation of the geriatric psychiatric nursing process
- Action in psychiatric and somatic emergency situations
- Close cooperation with intraprofessional colleagues within the framework of the skill-and-grade mix
- Participation in and implementation of change processes
Profile
- Completed HF studies with professional experience in geriatric psychiatry
- For foreign diplomas, SRK recognition is required
- High social/personal competence and structured working method
- Willingness to support change processes, to embrace new things and actively shape changes
- Flexibility in shift planning
- Very good German and PC skills
- CAS in Gerontology or willingness to complete one
