Summary of responsibilities:
Reporting to the 1st Hotel Steward or the Palmeraie Manager, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Participate in the setup, service, and clearing of banquet/breakfast rooms
- Be responsible to the superior for assigned tasks
- Treat all customers with respect and courtesy
- Serve customers according to their expectations
- Ensure customers lack nothing
- Actively participate in cleaning tasks within the department
- Stay informed about hotel events and participate in briefings before events
- Strive to perfect technical and theoretical knowledge to ensure perfect service for demanding clientele
- Learn LQA technical and emotional standards and apply them
- Participate in a performance review with the superior once during the internship
- Maintain excellent contact with colleagues
- Commit to the quality of service, discretion, and perfect honesty
- Maintain a professional attitude, be smiling, and remain calm at all times
- Be flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work occasionally in another department
- Respect ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary regulations
- Respect department and company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Perform any other assigned tasks
- Internship as part of hotel training
- Mastery of the French language
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Knowledge of a third language is an asset
- Ability to work in a team
- Flexibility and initiative
- Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and handle last-minute changes
Physical requirements of the position:
The physical requirements of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Constant: standing and walking throughout the work period
- Constant: lifting and carrying loads
- Frequent: kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional: climbing up or down stairs and ramps
VISA REQUIREMENTS
To work in Switzerland, the candidate must have a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
