About the position
You lead and coordinate all actions related to reducing CO₂ emissions and improving the refinery's energy efficiency. You directly contribute to the site's environmental performance by identifying optimization levers, supporting operational teams in implementing innovative solutions, and monitoring results.
Tasks and responsibilities
Ensure the monitoring of the carbon footprint, preparation of official reports, and proposal of concrete initiatives aimed at sustainably reducing emissions.
Manage activities related to the Emissions Trading System (ETS), ensuring regulatory compliance and optimization of associated internal processes.
Anticipate Swiss regulatory changes concerning CO₂ and bio-components, and proactively adapt monitoring tools, processes, and reports to ensure continuous compliance.
Coordinate the implementation of energy efficiency measures, monitor their performance, analyze results, and produce reports demonstrating achieved gains.
Represent the refinery with the AEnEC, ensuring smooth and professional communication on the target agreement and all topics related to energy efficiency.
Ensure daily monitoring of energy performance indicators of production units.
Analyze performance reports and optimize daily energy consumption by collaborating with operational teams.
Manage the energy project portfolio by evaluating their priority, energy reduction potential, and contribution to the refinery's overall performance.
Assess the economic value of projects by conducting solid financial analyses and using specific performance indicators to demonstrate their profitability, energy impact, and strategic contribution.
Ensure complete project management by handling resource management, deliverable coordination, and overall governance.
Qualifications
HES/EPF engineering degree or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in refining, chemistry, or petrochemicals.
Good command of spoken and written French and English; German is an asset.
Knowledge of applicable laws and ordinances.
