The main department of IT is the central competence and service center for IT for the cantonal administration, the courts, and the municipalities. In this newly created position, you can expect an exciting task with operational responsibilities and diverse projects in a flexible and interdisciplinary team.
We are looking for a
Operational Buyer IT 80–100%
immediately or by agreement with the workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- Conduct procurements under the legal framework (EG IVöB)
- Process procurements from needs reporting to invoice processing, purchase-to-pay process
- Economic and sustainable procurement considering customer needs
- Clarification of needs, formal and content-related examination of the procurement requirements as well as determination of the type of procurement or award procedure
- Independent execution of invitation procedures and price negotiations with suppliers, both written and oral
- Monitoring of supply chains
- Management of contracts
- Continuous review and optimization of purchasing processes
Requirements
- Technical or commercial basic training with further education in supply chain areas
- In-depth knowledge of the procurement process and proven procurement experience, preferably in public procurement of IT resources and services
- Networked thinking, independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Presentation and communication skills as well as assertiveness
- Customer-oriented, cost-sensitive, and proactive action
