We support our client in the search for a Strategic Buyer (m/f). The company is a traditional Swiss family business with over 100 years of experience and more than 350 dedicated employees.
Our client operates in the industrial sector and offers a diverse portfolio of high-quality products as well as innovative solutions in the field of mechanical engineering and transport technology.
- Analysis of procurement markets as well as conducting cost-effectiveness evaluations (e.g. make-or-buy) to create well-founded decision bases
- Selection, evaluation and targeted development of suppliers including ensuring quality standards and conducting audits
- Independent negotiation of prices, terms and contracts with the aim of concluding long-term and economically attractive agreements
- Identification of savings potentials as well as active risk management (e.g. supply bottlenecks or dependencies) to ensure supply security and efficiency
- Further training in purchasing, supply chain management or business administration is an advantage
- Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing of technical components in an industrial environment, preferably in mechanical or plant engineering
- Confident handling of ERP systems (ideally SAP S/4HANA) as well as fluent communication in German and English; additional language skills are an advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 10-20%)

Profile
- Completed technical basic training in a mechanical profession (e.g. polymechanic or comparable) as a solid foundation- Further training in purchasing, supply chain management or business administration is an advantage
- Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing of technical components in an industrial environment, preferably in mechanical or plant engineering
- Confident handling of ERP systems (ideally SAP S/4HANA) as well as fluent communication in German and English; additional language skills are an advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 10-20%)
