Medical secretary at 50% in the Pulmonology Department
To complete our team and assist the responsible senior physicians and their team, we are offering a medical secretary position for the pulmonary toxicity and oncological and interventional pulmonology units at a 50% rate, for a fixed term of one year, renewable, with a start date of June 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Pulmonology Department, attached to the Department of Medicine (DM), is responsible for outpatient and inpatient care of adult patients. Our department offers services covering all respiratory pathologies within the multidisciplinary framework of CHUV.

Mission
- You assist the physicians of the pulmonary toxicity unit and the oncological and interventional pulmonology unit in organizing outpatient consultations
- You coordinate the patient pathway as a case manager, ensuring follow-up of the different stages of care, notably in daily interaction with the endoscopy service
- You organize, schedule, and ensure the complete administrative management of bronchial endoscopy interventions and pleural procedures.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) or a commercial maturity certificate or equivalent training, ideally complemented by a medical secretary diploma and have confirmed experience in a similar position
- You have excellent knowledge of MS Office tools; knowledge of institutional software (Soarian, Synedra, UltraGenda, MedEx/MedIn) is an asset
- You are ready to take on the human and professional challenge represented by a shared position (job sharing)
- You demonstrate proactivity, autonomy, initiative, solution orientation, synthesis, versatility, organization, and precision
- You appreciate responsibilities in a demanding activity sector
- You have excellent interpersonal skills, sociability, a keen sense of communication, and involvement with an open mind.
