Your Tasks and Prospects

Your internship specialises in "Childcare"
You take on great responsibility as you assist in the care and development of the children at the "Spieltrückli" daycare centre
Together with your supervisors, you plan the children’s daily routine, play with them, support them, and go for walks
You help the children acquire their linguistic, cognitive, and motor skills
You plan group and individual activities and enable the children to have important learning experiences

You have successfully completed your compulsory schooling
You have a lot of patience, are empathetic, and love contact with children
It is important to you to support children of different ages and help them progress in their development
You enjoy being active, are energetic, and mentally resilient
In stressful situations or when there is conflict, you keep a clear head and can mediate professionally

During your internship, you will gain an exciting insight into the varied daily life of a large daycare centre
You can gain a lot of professional experience in childcare during this time and discover where your personal strengths lie
You will have the opportunity to make contacts for your professional future
If all goes well, you can then start your training as a Childcare Specialist EFZ at the Cantonal Hospital St. Gallen
