Vocational school teacher for vocational studies for the training of Specialist Woman / Specialist Man in Care (FaBe) with a specialisation in Children (KIN), from Autumn Semester 2026/27, 30 - 40%The Vocational School Winterthur (BFS) is a centre of expertise for social professions and retail. Around 4000 learners are taught here by approximately 200 teachers. The school is organised into two departments: the Social Professions Department, where Specialist Women/Men in Care (FaBe) and Health & Social Assistants (AGS) are trained, and the General Department for Retail Professions (EFZ and EBA) and Pre-apprenticeship.
Tasks
- Teaching the action competences in vocational studies KIN in the Social Professions Department on two weekdays (30-40%)
- Participation in specialist groups, working groups and projects
- Creating computer-based, practical and action-oriented teaching units
- Contributing to the further development of the FaBe professional field
- Participation in internal school events and familiarisation with internal teaching concepts
Profile
- A professional education at tertiary level (highest vocational field-related qualification), e.g., Social Work FH (specialisation in Social Pedagogy), degree in (special) Pedagogy / Psychology (MSc), Social Pedagogy HF, Childcare HF
- Preferably you have training and several years of experience as a vocational school teacher
- Practical experience in out-of-family care settings (after-school care, crèche, social pedagogical institutions, etc.)
- Willingness to teach vocational subjects with a high theory-practice transfer
- Team spirit, resilience and enjoyment in supporting young people during their vocational training
- Enthusiasm for innovation
- IT skills and willingness to conduct computer-based teaching
- Expected school days Monday, Tuesday and Thursday or Friday
