About the job
The Digital Forensics Department is attached to the Criminal Division. The IT specialists make a significant contribution to solving crimes by securing, analysing and evaluating digital traces. Their work requires a high level of expertise and a strong sense of responsibility.
Your tasks
- On-site assignments: Conduct forensic investigations and analyses of digital data in criminal cases
- Secure, evaluate and interpret digital evidence in close cooperation with the case handlers
- Prepare well-founded investigation reports as well as investigation and prevention recommendations
- Participate in training and further education activities in the field of IT forensics
- Promote cross-departmental collaboration and further development of the area
Your profile
- Completed training in computer science, preferably in digital forensics or a related field, as well as initial professional experience
- Strong hardware and system knowledge as well as a high affinity for IT and willingness for continuous professional development
- Good comprehension and reasoning skills, analytical thinking and a structured, precise and goal-oriented working style, even in demanding operational situations
- Initiative, loyal and discreet personality with high social competence, strong team orientation and a flexible and solution-oriented attitude towards occasional assignments outside regular working hours
- Very good written and spoken German skills as well as good English skills
