Your varied position at the Social Region Olten

The Social Welfare Office of the Social Region Olten provides economic social assistance and personal counseling for people in different life situations on behalf of the affiliated municipalities. For our Long-Term Counseling team with about 15 employees (regular social assistance as well as asylum social assistance), we are looking for a committed and strong leadership personality as Team Leader Long-Term Counseling 80% – 100%, of which 50% is a team leadership function, starting August 2026 or by arrangement.

Tasks

• You lead the Long-Term Counseling team professionally and personally
• You support employees with complex case developments and challenging professional questions
• Together with your team, you ensure high-quality, effective, and equal counseling
• You work closely with the Social Welfare Office management and the Intake team leadership and actively develop processes, collaboration, and professional standards
• You accompany organizational and professional developments in the Social Welfare Office
• You manage your own cases in the remaining workload

Expectations

• You have a degree in Social Work at tertiary level or an equivalent qualification
• You bring solid professional experience in economic social assistance
• You have leadership experience or the willingness to take the next professional step into a leadership role
• You convince through clarity, reliability, and a good sense for people and situations
• You work in a structured, responsible manner with confident prioritization
• You enjoy actively further developing the Social Welfare Office.
