Team Coordinator Metrology
As a team coordinator within the metrology laboratories of the Quality Assurance department, you take responsibility for coordinating and organizing the daily work processes. You enable your team to perform state-of-the-art quality controls on high-tech components, define measurement concepts, program coordinate measuring machines (Mitutoyo), and promote a zero-defect culture at VAT's production site.
YOUR CHALLENGES
- Coordination and organization of the operational daily business in the metrology laboratories
- Support in interpreting technical drawings (form and position tolerances, surface quality, etc.)
- Definition of measurement strategies and selection of suitable measuring instruments
- Setup of measurement systems and programming of the coordinate measuring machine (Mitutoyo)
- Creation of measurement instructions for series production
- Analysis and evaluation of SPC data as well as preparation of relevant SPC reports
- Monitoring of quality performance and initiation of continuous improvements
- Interface function to production, engineering and business units
- Support during customer audits
YOUR SKILLS
- Completed technical training (e.g. CNC technician, engineer)
- Further training as a CMM engineer / metrology technician
- Solid knowledge of form and position tolerances as well as analysis of measurement uncertainties
- Very good knowledge of SPC, testing and monitoring procedures
- Knowledge of requirements according to DIN EN / ISO 17025
- Strong team skills and motivation for continuous improvement of processes and products
- Leadership skills and high personal responsibility
- Fluent German, English skills are an advantage
