What is my role?
Shunting Service Employee (ZSTEBV)
You are responsible for the safe, punctual and customer-oriented execution of shunting operations according to regulations (FDV). Activity in the Limmattal marshalling yard in the track area between stationary and moving freight wagons - noise and colliding wagons are part of everyday life.
Your main tasks:
Prepare trains for departures and brake tests
Check brakes
Couple/uncouple locomotives and wagons
Prepare arriving trains according to specifications
Break down long trains according to list
Report irregularities and deviations
What do I need to be successful?
Preparation of trains for formation and shunting brake test with control of brake systems
Expert coupling and uncoupling of locomotives and wagons
Preparation of arriving trains according to long train list and breaking down using coupling rod according to breakdown list
Reporting irregularities and special incidents to responsible authorities
Willingness to work 3-shift operation: 04:00 - 12:00 / 12:00 - 22:00 / 22:00 - 04:00
