About the job
You want to work as a general practitioner in Switzerland and not just "fit in", but take over something long-term? You appreciate a personal practice environment where continuity and patient proximity are central? If you can imagine taking on more responsibility in the medium term and perhaps even contributing entrepreneurially, you should take a closer look at this position.
You will work in an established general practice in the Canton of Thurgau, near the Lake Constance and easily accessible from southern Germany. The focus is clearly on long-term and personal care of patients - with established structures and a high level of continuity in medical care.
Currently, the practice has been strongly shaped over the years by two constant medical colleagues. One of these key figures is already working reduced hours and will completely cease activity in the foreseeable future. This creates a special entry situation for you: you take on responsibility not abruptly, but gradually, and can already rely on an established patient base - embedded in a functioning environment.
The daily practice is classically general practitioner-oriented and covers a broad spectrum of general internal medicine - from prevention through acute medicine to the care of chronic diseases. At the same time, there is room for individual focus areas and personal medical interests.
Your tasks:
- General practitioner care of patients of all ages
- Diagnostics and therapy across the entire spectrum of general internal medicine
- Long-term support of patients with a focus on continuity
- Participation in daily practice with clear structures and direct patient contact
- Taking on responsibility with a view to a later succession solution
- Bringing in your own ideas and developing individual medical focus areas
Your competencies:
- Specialist title in General Internal Medicine, General Practitioner or equivalent foreign qualification (e.g. specialist in general medicine in Germany)
- German language skills at C1 level
- Interest in long-term general practice work with patient retention
- Willingness to become more involved in the practice in the medium term (optionally also possibility for partnership)
- For applicants from abroad: Medimeo supports you with advice and financially in obtaining your MEBEKO application approval
Your advantages:
- Attractive salary at Swiss level, initially as a fixed salary (entry phase)
- Prospect of revenue sharing or partnership in the further course
- Flexible working hours up to a maximum of 70 %
- Weekly working time based on a full-time workload of approx. 42 hours
- Participation in regional emergency service (approx. every six weeks with full-time workload)
- 1-2 Saturday shifts per month, individually negotiable - flexible arrangement possible depending on personal situation
- Individually adjustable working hours (days, early/late shifts flexibly plannable)
- Personal and manageable working environment with direct impact on daily practice
- Opportunity to gradually develop into a successor role
- Collegial cooperation and handover without time pressure
- Very low tax burden as well as attractive pension and retirement solutions
- High quality of life in the Lake Constance-region close to Germany
