About the job
The Government Council of the Canton of Thurgau has commissioned the project "Recording, Coordination and Support of the PFAS Situation in the Canton of Thurgau." The currently 3-year limited project bundles all cantonal activities. The goal is to find out to what extent PFAS occur in Thurgau soils and waters and which measures need to be taken. The Office for the Environment is looking for a committed personality to manage this task from February 1, 2026 as
Your tasks
- Responsibility for the central coordination office for the operational implementation of the project mandate
- Structuring and conception of the approach as well as coordination between the federal government and canton(s)
- Support of subprojects in preparing technical information for specific target groups, for example by developing information and fact sheets or organizing and conducting information events
- Ensuring the technical overview, bundling the content from the subprojects, and joint communication with the communication department
- Leading the subproject "Identification of Hotspots" with random and suspicion-oriented investigations of potential entry paths to identify possible contamination hotspots
Your profile
- Technical or scientific university degree (ideally with a focus on chemistry or biochemistry)
- Several years of experience in project management
- Confident German language skills (spoken and written)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Analytical and interdisciplinary thinking ability
- Solution-oriented working style
- As subproject manager "Identification of Hotspots," comprehensive knowledge of investigations in areas such as soil and water is required
