The Building Office of the Canton of St. Gallen plans, constructs, and operates buildings that the canton requires to fulfil its tasks. The real estate portfolio is as diverse as no other and includes educational, health, cultural, agricultural, security, and administrative buildings.

To complement our team, we are looking for a

Portfolio Manager (m/f/d)

at the Department of Construction and Environment for the Real Estate Management Division, starting immediately or by arrangement.

Workload: 60-80%

Workplace: St. Gallen

What to expect

• Representing the owner’s interests of the assigned real estate portfolio vis-à-vis the state administration as well as the users
• Supporting the strategic development of the real estate portfolio with sound analyses and decision-making bases
• Managing a sub-portfolio throughout the entire lifecycle of the properties with a special focus on planning and project preparation
• Ensuring long-term value preservation and steering the sustainable, needs-based development of your real estate portfolio

What distinguishes you

• Training as an architect or commercial training with a focus on real estate
• Advanced training in real estate (e.g. Real Estate Management, Facility Management or Real Estate Trust)
• Several years of professional experience in the real estate or building construction sector
• Conceptual and structured thinking, very good communication skills in spoken and written form
• Assertiveness, organisational and negotiation skills
