Polymechanic – Maintenance for Railway Technology
Tasks
- Perform mechanical repairs, overhauls and modifications on locomotives, track construction machines and rail vehicles
- Assemble and overhaul mechanical components, assemblies and modules according to technical drawings and sketches
- Independently carry out functional tests of the assembled assemblies based on technical documentation
- Support electrical departments with simple repair and overhaul work
- Take on on-call duty and provide telephone support outside regular working hours
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a polymechanic EFZ or equivalent with a focus on maintenance
- Several years of experience in assembly, repair and overhaul work in the mechanical field
- Sound knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Driving licence category B is mandatory
- Good German language skills in spoken and written form and knowledge of Microsoft Office are advantageous
